As parents ourselves we understand that the excitement of a holiday is too often overshadowed with the headache of 'what do we need to take ?', ending up with 'oh well....lets just pack everything but the kitchen sink'. One of our Eco Cottages : Constantine is equipped for families with young children, containing everything a parent would want and need, reducing time spent packing and leaving more space in the car for Cornish goodies ! Constantine is fitted with babygates top and bottom of the stairs, a fire guard, highchair and wooden cot. Also provided is a changing mat, plastic plates, bowls and cutlery, sippy cups, toddler toilet seat and step up, potty, selection of DVD's and toys, a stroller, sterilser, baby bath, mini blender, baby monitors and bed guards. Not having to pack so much opens the opportunity of flying to Cornwall, and hiring a car when you get here. We have stylish interiors but don't have fancy ornaments hanging around the property for you to re-arrange out of sight on arrival, we want you to relax and unwind at Merlin Farm with the day to day activities recommended to you in an information pack, including 101 things to do on a rainy day ! We have also made some recommendations here for family days out. On the farm we have a communal lawn with some outdoor play stuff and on the other side of the fence a very special resident - Horace the Donkey who loves to be fed carrots and apples. As well as horses and chickens that can be seen at the farm, you may be lucky enough to spot deer or the barn owls who live and successfully breed here every year (they fly past the holiday cottages at dusk hunting in the fields in front). Children can feed the chickens daily (a little bag of feed is provided in your cottage) and during the school holidays we have a weekly timetable for bunny & guinea pig petting and meet Horace the Donkey ! Out of season sessions can be arranged on request. Constantine can accommodate 4 people plus a baby in a cot. On the ground floor there is an open plan lounge, diner and kitchen with floor to ceiling glass doors fully opening out onto an enclosed patio garden. Master bedroom with king size bed, TV/DVD, wetroom with walk in drench shower, freestanding bath and wash basin with waterfall taps, and toilet. On the 1st floor a twin bedroom with cot, blackout blinds, TV/DVD and ensuite with toilet and wash basin. An ironing station and washer/dryer are provided under the stairs. Bed linen and towels are provided. Babysitting: We can supply contacts for experienced and CRB checked babysitters. Also our responsible 15yr old is happy to babysit for a bit of extra pocket money, and we would be on hand if a problem arose.
